Hi there, I’m Taylor Leigh Ciambra.
I was born and raised in Connecticut and am back here again for the moment. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Keene State College in New Hampshire. There, I had some of the most amazing teachers a student could ask for.
After that, I served with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and AmeriCorps in Alaska and Arizona. Basically, I wanted to travel, live outside, and help people. Along the way I rediscovered my love of writing. Then I hiked 1,000 miles of the Appalachian Trail. (Yes, it was crazy. It’s true that I did see bears but they all ran away from me. And yes, I do miss it. Oh, the haircut? That happened on the AT too.)
I think of myself as a theatre director first because it’s the perfect combination of what I love to do: storytelling with people that’s built on a foundation of writing and questioning. It feels like the fullest way to express an idea and when I do it, I feel good at it. But, as a theatre person/creative type I get into a lot of different kinds of work and hobbies.
Here’s what I’m up to now.
